Creating A Master Page Template

Highlight Master Templates in the Content Explorer and click on Create Master Template. This will open a dialog box and prompt you to enter the name of the template. Once created you can double click on the new template in the Content Explorer and this will open the Template, Properties and System tab.

In the Template Tab you have the ability to enter standard HTML and Template Markup, this allows you to either create page fragments to be used by an ASP.NET or MVC website, or complete pages that can be rendered using the Hosted website.

In the Properties Tab you have the ability to create properties that will be shared by each template that inherits from the master template, and subsequent pages that will be created based on the child templates.
