Creating Content Items

Content Items are instances of Content Templates. They represent a group of properties that can be created within certain pages. Like Page Templates they are controlled by constraints which are set on the parent page template.

Example:

A certain page template may have a requirement to have 3 content sections that are repeated, (e.g Call Out Areas) these call out areas may have a Header, Image, Summary and Link property, rather than having to create Header1, Image1, Summary1, Link1, Header2 etc.. properties on the page template, a Callout Content Template can be created with the Header, Image, Summary and Link properties, and then 3 content items can be created on the page, Callout1, Callout2, Callout3
